Sales Associate (Part-Time) – Veterans Lane, Doylestown

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) is hiring Part-Time Sales Associates – Intermittent Liquor Store Clerks (ILSC) to join our Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores! We’re seeking friendly, motivated individuals who are passionate about delivering top-notch customer service and creating a welcoming shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers and assist with sales.
• Provide exceptional customer service, helping shoppers find what they need.
• Manage sales transactions with a computerized cash register.
• Unload shipments, stock shelves, and set up product displays.
• Receive, assemble, and pack wholesale customer orders, loading them into vehicles.
• Safely lift products – occasionally overhead or from a squatting position from the floor – weighing 30 to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 60 pounds, ensuring both personal safety and product protection.
• Stand for extended periods of time.
• Keep the store clean and organized.
• Utilize scanners, box cutters, dollies, carts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Follow all legal guidelines to ensure alcohol is sold only to customers who are legally permitted to buy it.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must meet the PA residency requirement.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Must pass a background investigation.
• Applicants with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment are not permitted to work for the PLCB.

Schedule

• Permanent, part-time employment.
• Preferred availability: 22 to 32 hours per week.
• Store work hours and days are: Monday 8:30 am to 10:15 pm; Tuesday through Friday 8:00 am to 10:15 pm; Saturday 8:45 am to 10:15 pm; and Sunday 10:45 am to 7:15 pm.
• Flexible shifts are available, typically ranging from 4 to 7 hours per shift.
• Availability on a rotating basis will be scheduled during the week and weekend with daytime and evening hours.
• Schedule details may change due to the operational needs of the store.
• A minimum of 13 hours per week will be required with the ability to work more hours per week, depending on availability.
• There is the opportunity to work up to 32 hours per week.

Work location

You will be headquartered in the store listed at the top of this posting. You may be assigned to work in other stores within the county or district based on operational needs.
