Sales Associate (Part-Time) - Broad Street, Richmond, VA

About the role

A Part-Time Sales Associate drives the selling efforts and customer relationships by excelling in customer service and selling techniques. The role involves performing daily store functions including product merchandising, product sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Key aspects are customer service, sales, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Display basic fashion and trend knowledge to satisfy customer needs by selling appropriate merchandise while maintaining DTLR standards and building relationships.
• Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Present a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression to each customer while demonstrating enthusiasm toward the job and company.
• Comply with all company policies.
• Embrace service training and product programs.
• Ensure all visual standards are followed, complete daily restock, and maintain adequate size runs per visual directions.
• Assist in eliminating both employee and customer theft.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
• Assist with keeping the store organized as directed by store management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous work experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not necessary.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent command of the English language to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
• Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
• Problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, detail orientation, flexibility, communication skills, and interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service and maintain store operations.

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work extended hours during critical project phases.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Pay

Sales Associate (Part-Time) pay range: $12.77 per hour.
