Sales Associate - Outdoor Power Equipment - Putnam, CT

Key Responsibilities

• Aid customers with product selection and provide knowledgeable recommendations
• Deliver high-quality customer service and support
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked department
• Help manage inventory levels and restock merchandise as needed
• Process incoming freight in a timely and efficient manner
• Assemble outdoor power equipment such as chainsaws, trimmers, and leaf blowers
• Identify basic equipment issues and assist customers with troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to assemble, diagnose, and repair outdoor power equipment
• Familiarity with brands like STIHL is preferred
• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Ability to lift and move power equipment

Position Summary

The OPE Sales Associate supports the day-to-day operations of the Outdoor Power Equipment department. This role focuses on assisting customers, maintaining department organization, and ensuring inventory and freight are handled efficiently.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $16.94-$18.00 Depending on experience.
