Sales Associate - Optical Specialist - Part Time
About the role
The Optical Specialist role at Eyeglass World is a customer-facing position that plays a crucial part in delivering an exceptional in-store experience. This role involves guiding customers through eyewear selection, ensuring they feel confident in their purchases, and maintaining a high level of service throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Create an Exceptional Customer Experience
- Deliver warm, confident, and personalized service at every stage of the visit
- Guide customers through eyewear selection, final fitting, and product education
- Absorb and educate customers effectively
- Support clinical and in-store flow
- Assist with patient flow and pre-exam screenings to support Optometrists
- Help ensure smooth transitions between exam, finish, and pickup moments
- Serve as a calm, knowledgeable presence throughout the customer journey
- Own finish and quality excellence
- Perform finishing work including final adjustments, inspections and quality checks
- Ensure all eyewear meets Eyeglass World standards for fit, function, and presentation
- Prepare orders for pickup and deliver polished, brand-aligned handoff
- Operate with precision and care
- Support order entry, tracking, and timely completion
- Maintain organized, clean, and efficient finish and retail areas
- Identify and resolve quality or service issues proactively
- Bring the Brand to Life
- Model Eyeglass World service standards, tone, and behaviors in every interaction
- Uphold visual, experiential, and operational brand standards in the store
- Partner with the store team to deliver a consistent and elevated experience
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year experience in optical, retail, sales, or customer service
- Strong multitasking, time management and organizational skills
- Clear communication and the ability to educate customers effectively
- Ability to prioritize customer satisfaction at every interaction
- Support store team in shared goals
- Bilingual abilities (Preferred)
