Responsibilities
- Adhere to and practice the company’s service standards with each customer.
- Meet both sales and work goals as directed by store management while following company Policies and Procedures.
- Lead other team members by example in accuracy and completeness of work.
- Control cash and maintain accuracy of sales transactions.
- Process all sales and POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure, maintaining strict control of all monies and sales documentation.
- Create an excellent shopping experience through awareness and company service standards.
- Promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives.
- Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions.
- Maintain merchandise presentation, ensuring stock is well arranged and properly merchandised.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all store areas.
- Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills.
- Maintain awareness of Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
- Participate in physical inventories, assist in shipping and receiving merchandise, and help with merchandise placement on the sales floor.
- Perform cashier functions, ensuring all sales are processed according to policy (e.g., checking shoes for mates).
Qualifications
- Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with customers and employees at all levels.
- Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
- Experience in retail sales, preferably in specialty retail or footwear.
- Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures.
- Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of Store Presentation Standards.
Principal Working Relationships
Customers, Sales Associates, Store Management, and District/Regional Managers.
