Sales Associate

About the role

Sales Associates are the lifeblood at Calla Lily Quilts! Sales Associates work on the sales floor, selling fabrics, notions, and more. Motivation and self-initiative are essential to your success as a Sales Associate. Our associates are busy all day long.

Responsibilities

• Run the Point-of-Sale at the sales counter
• Complete sales for customers
• Sign up students for classes
• Promote classes while talking with customers to find out what their needs are
• Clean and dust the sales floor
• Put away bolts of fabrics and notions
• Organize and tidy the sales floor
• Put up samples for display
• Clean and prepare the classroom for classes
• Complete additional tasks as requested by the shop manager

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of fabrics and textiles
• Sewing knowledge to answer customer questions about projects or sewing issues
• Familiarity with patterns and fabric requirements

Skills

• Outgoing and friendly personality
• Ability to build relationships with customers and students (we know them on a first-name basis)
• Self-motivated and takes initiative

Training

• Complete training in the Baby Lock product line
• Training provided on the Point-of-Sale system

Salary based on experience.
