About the role
Our client in industrial manufacturing is looking for a Sales Applications Engineer to help customers select the appropriate motors and generators based on application needs while supporting quotations, pricing, order execution, and delivery. The role combines engineering knowledge with direct customer interaction and internal coordination across sales, engineering, planning, and manufacturing. This is a great opportunity to join a small team where you can build broad commercial and technical experience supporting industrial applications.
Responsibilities
- Review customer specifications and define product and application needs
- Select and size motors and generators using technical data and internal tools
- Prepare technical quotes with pricing, lead times, and supporting documentation
- Discuss technical questions and quotation details directly with customers
- Track orders from entry through delivery and resolve open technical issues
- Coordinate project needs with sales, engineering, planning, and manufacturing
- Serve as the primary customer contact for assigned smaller orders
- Help improve sales tools, training materials, and product documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
- 2+ years of applications or industrial engineering in manufacturing required
- Technical customer-facing experience required
- Ability to explain technical information to engineers and buyers required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required
- Ability to travel 1-2 times per year within the U.S. and Canada required
Pay
$80,000 - $85,000 + 12.5% Bonus Opportunity

Schedule
- Full-Time, On-site (Hybrid flexibility after training)
- Typical Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET (with some flexibility around start time)
- Travel: 1-2 trips/year within the U.S. and Canada; Overnight stays (1-3 days)
