Sales Account Executive

About the role

Established in 1981, Orient Express Container (OEC) Group is one of the top freight forwarders in the transportation industry. We provide freight transportation, logistics, and information services to over 50,000 customers through a network of global offices.

Responsibilities

- Execute full sales lifecycle processes from pre-work, detailed discovery conversations, and informative meetings to identify the needs of prospective clients and perform as a trusted advisor for their forwarding needs. - Prospect and establish a book of business through cold calling, electronic media, seminars, trade shows, in-person presentations, etc. - Present OEC Group's service offerings: Ocean Import/Export, Air Import/Export, Distribution & Warehousing, Trucking, Cargo Insurance, and Customs Brokerage. - Collaborate with CRM Specialists to create sales presence in local market. - Maintain communication with internal teams as well as overseas offices. - Travel locally for client meetings and presentations. - Meet monthly revenue quotas given by Sales management (based off monthly salary).

Qualifications

- Minimum 1 years' experience in a freight forwarding role is required. - Previous experience directly selling ocean and/or air services is preferred. - Previous experience using the ERP system, CargoWise One, is preferred. - Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred. - Entrepreneurial spirit; team player; problem solver. - High emotional intelligence and communication skills. - Professional email and phone etiquette. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. - $45,000 - $80,000/annual base salary + uncapped sales commission.
