Schedule

One day per week: Thursdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (approximately).

Pay

$14/hour

Responsibilities

  • Help move cars through the auction lanes during the car auction.
  • Drive vehicles across the block following all safety guidelines, including:
    • Wearing a seatbelt.
    • Placing vehicle in park or neutral when coming to a stop.
    • Following the ADESA wedge.
  • Safely move, stage, and park vehicles in the correct lot area.
  • Advise supervisor or lane captain of all breakdowns and maintenance needs immediately.
  • Undergo training and ensure company safety policies and procedures are followed at all times.
  • Operate motor vehicles safely and practice conservative, cautious, and courteous driving habits.
  • Immediately report to manager or supervisor:
    • Anything that may jeopardize the ability to physically or legally operate a motor vehicle.
    • All driving-related incidents, including traffic citations, warnings, accidents, or mechanical problems experienced on either private or public property, whether on or off the job.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Ability to work outdoors under any type of weather conditions.

Physical Activity and Working Conditions

  • Physical Activity Requirements: Light to Medium Physical Work
    • Frequent: standing, watching, touching, listening, walking, talking.
    • Potential: running, jumping, yelling, or other rapid or forceful movement in emergency situations.
  • Visual Acuity Requirements: Color, depth perception, and field of vision comparable to definitions for Clerical, Administrative, Machine Operators (including inspection) positions.
  • Physical Working Conditions:
    • Subject to both inside and outside environmental working conditions, including temperature changes and outside weather conditions.
    • Slightly elevated ambient noise levels.
    • Minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems, such as fumes, odors, and dusts associated with internal and external service station/convenience food and petroleum dispensing operations.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Reasonable accommodations will be made for those with disabilities to perform the essential functions of their jobs.
