Salaried GP

Background

This is a genuinely well-established, traditional GP practice with an outstanding track record on staff retention: several GPs across the team have stayed for well over a decade. A capped, half-day duty model, no extended hours obligation, and a guaranteed early finish every week make for a working pattern that is hard to find elsewhere.

Location

The practice is based in a small village a short distance from Shrewsbury, with a rural catchment covering a number of surrounding villages. Shrewsbury itself is around 20 minutes away by car, with Oswestry, Telford, and Market Drayton all within easy reach, making this a straightforward commute from several directions.

Your Role

• Up to 6 sessions available, with 4 or 5 also considered
• Guaranteed one early finish every week
• List-based appointments with a shared cover system, rather than a heavy individual duty burden
• Minimal home visits, with routine visits covered by the wider Primary Care Network
• Potential route to Partnership over time, as the practice plans ahead for succession

Salary and Benefits

• Sessional rate of £12,000 per session
