Essential Functions
- Plans, organizes, and administers the company’s Workers’ Compensation Program, including reviewing and processing claims.
- Responds to inquiries and provides technical information concerning related laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Interacts with physicians, attorneys, employees, and management staff to ensure quality care and appropriate return to work.
- Stays informed about trends and innovations in workers’ compensation administration and keeps current on regulatory issues at the State and Federal levels.
- Performs administrative duties related to safety and workers’ compensation, including processing accident reports and ensuring corrective actions are completed.
- Maintains workers’ compensation files, accident reports, OSHA logs, and other state and federal recordkeeping as required.
- Ensures compliance with powered vehicle training.
- Leads the SAFE Council to promote health and safety initiatives.
- Assists in safety-related functions such as safety inspections, ergonomic evaluations, and evaluating corrective actions to prevent injuries and illness.
- Supports the implementation and maintenance of company safety programs, policies, and procedures.
- Tracks and analyzes safety metrics, trends, and leading indicators.
- Affords support for program-related safety training as needed.

- Knowledge and experience with complex regulations and ability to apply them in a fast-paced environment.

- Proven experience with analytical abilities.
- Knowledge and experience with Workers’ Compensation benefit system preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with safety preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health, Business, or related field preferred.
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and work on multiple projects with tight deadlines.
