Safety Trainer

Overview We are currently hiring a Safety Trainer in Newport News, VA. Description Designs and delivers programs to train all levels of personnel. Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques. Develops in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments. May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs. May be responsible for development of e-learning programs.Development of new EH&S Training for internal utilization to upskill personnel.Delivering EH&S training to key deckplate AORs that are determined to require additional training based on annual evaluations.Modification of pre-existing and upscaling of key EH&S trainings that are implemented at company. Qualifications US Citizenship.BS Degree preferred.3 years of relevant experience if having a BS Degree.Must be familiar with EH&S protocol and OSHA regulations.Must be comfortable presenting developed training to personnel at a large scale.Must be familiar with Learning Management Systems such as Learning Exchange and SkillFactors.Must be able to develop and modify graphics utilized for training. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Newport News, VA. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
