Safety Supervisor - Travel

Roles And Responsibilities
- Advanced understanding of all Safety rules, regulations, and industry practices for the operating groups they support: Wireline, Wireless, Engineering & Technology
- Provides one-on-one coaching to team members at all levels of the organization to train and educate on safety protocols, compliance, ADB standards and processes
- Professionally presents safety topics in an engaging way at weekly safety meetings and safety trainings
- Led injury/incident investigations in partnership with safety and operational leadership; includes collecting statements, establishing timelines, analyzing findings, and providing regular reports and recommendations
- Safeguards safety initiatives by supervising onsite construction operations, completes onsite safety assessments and offers in-person support on findings
- First level management within a functional group responsible for people management, production, performance, and quality
- Manages functional team members including time, attendance, performance, production, quality, training, etc.
- Advanced technical acumen of driver safety and fleet operations
- Oversees adherence to all department and company processes and standards
- Customer centric to ensure all team members have a positive experience with the support they receive
- Oversees tools and equipment including utilization plans and management
- Basic understanding of department financials and can identify cost impacts and discuss solutions with Management
- Processes, reviews and approves vendor payments and invoices
- Provides data and reporting to upper management upon request
- Contributes to the overall Group Scorecard and KPI’s to drive department success
- Upholds ADB’s safety culture, leads by example and drives the philosophy of ZERO throughout the entire organization
- Engages in ADB’s culture pillars and encourages participation and buy-in in all pillars: Community, Wellness, Development, Inclusion
- Highly interdependent with other functional teams and operational groups ensuring strong relationships and collaboration to achieve overall business goals
- Performs other position duties when requested

Work Environment
This position operates out of a temperature-controlled office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, copy/fax, and smartphones. When working on site, will be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel toed boots.
Experience And Education
- 3+ years of experience required within a Health & Safety Professional role
- 1+ year of proven success leading people and processes within a department
- OSHA 30 required; OSHA 500 preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Driver’s License required
Pay
The starting pay for this position is $80,000 and may vary based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
