About the role

The Transportation Safety Supervisor supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of safety programs to promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This position oversees driver safety performance, accident investigations, regulatory compliance, training initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts to minimize risk and support operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT), OSHA, FMCSA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Safety training, compliance, and safe work practices.
  • Incident prevention, root-cause analysis, and corrective action.
  • Some High-voltage system safety responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Transportation and an understanding of Safety regulations.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety principles, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • CDL A or B License.
  • Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures, electrical safety standards, and high-voltage safety practices.
  • Ability to interpret safety regulations, technical manuals, SDS information, and manufacturer guidance.
  • Experience creating or delivering safety training, toolbox talks, or standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

  • Preferred qualifications include experience in safety management, industrial operations, automotive, EV, manufacturing, or related environments.
  • Experience with electric vehicles.
  • Professional safety certifications (e.g., CSP, OHST, NFPA 70E).
  • Experience leading safety programs in operational or technical environments.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70E, OSHA standards, DOT/FMCSA safety requirements, or similar regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience working in the transportation industry preferred.
