Safety Specialist - Second Shift | New Brunswick, NJ

We're seeking an experienced EHS Safety Professional to support a second-shift industrial project in New Brunswick, NJ. This role will provide on-site safety oversight during the installation of a new boiler, ensuring work is completed safely and in compliance with all applicable regulations and site requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily on-site EHS support during second-shift operations
• Conduct routine safety inspections and observations
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and site-specific safety requirements
• Assist with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), pre-task planning, and permit activities
• Coach contractors and craft personnel on safe work practices
• Investigate incidents and near misses, documenting findings and corrective actions
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and reports

Requirements

• OSHA 30 (required)
• Current First Aid/CPR certification (required)
• NFPA 70E certification (required)
• 40-Hour HAZWOPER (required)
• Previous industrial, pharmaceutical, or heavy construction safety experience (preferred)
• Strong communication and leadership skills

Schedule

• Second Shift (2:00 PM start time)
• Full-time hours with the potential for overtime

Pay

$100,000–125,000
