As an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist, you will play a key role in fostering a strong safety culture while supporting teams in delivering high-quality projects across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes a specialized depth of EHS expertise to collaborate as part of client and project pursuit teams to develop winning safe working environment approaches
- Partner with project managers, engineers, and client pursuit teams to develop competitive, practical, and compliant safety approaches for projects
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional EHS initiatives focused on jobsite safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance
- Interpret OSHA requirements, industry standards, and best practices applicable to construction and engineering environments, translating them into actionable solutions
- Lead the development and rollout of firmwide EHS programs that support safe practices and operations
- Collaborate across disciplines, offices, and project types to ensure consistent execution of Olsson’s EHS strategy
- Analyze safety metrics, incident trends, and audit findings to evaluate program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
- Represent Olsson professionally with clients, contractors, regulators, and industry partners
Qualifications

- You bring to the team:
- A Bachelor’s degree in safety management, business, or related field preferred.
- 6–10 years of experience in safety roles within the engineering or construction industry.
- Experience designing and delivering engaging EHS training content.
- CPR/First Aid certifications and OSHA instructor credentials preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard recognition, recordkeeping, and claim management practices.
- Demonstrated ability to independently develop solutions to complex EHS challenges.
