About the role
Join our team of dedicated professionals at I-Solutions, where you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the safety and success of our projects. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with company procedures, OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the development of Site-Specific Safety Plans and support a safe working environment in coordination with project teams
- Conduct and coordinate monthly (minimum) all-hands site safety meetings and participate in client-sponsored safety meetings and trainings
- Issue and assist with project-specific safety permits, including hot work, trenching, confined space, and other high-risk activities
- Serve as a liaison between clients and the company regarding safety expectations, concerns, and issue resolution
- Conduct and document weekly (minimum) Site Safety Audits to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Maintain a supervisory role over field operations to promote safe execution of construction activities
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to safe work practices
- Verify subcontractor safety documentation, including JHAs, method statements, and training records
- Attend foreman coordination meetings to support safe work planning and permitting
- Assist with data collection related to incidents, accidents, and near misses, and support investigations as needed
- Support the Safety Manager with overall safety and health initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Occupational Safety, or a related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- OSHA-30 certification (required)
- Ability to identify and mitigate safety risks through hazard recognition and control
- Experience assisting with incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Basic knowledge of permitting for high-risk construction activities
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards
- Strong attention to detail in reviewing safety documentation and conditions
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
- Ability to build relationships and respond effectively to feedback
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods
- Sit and/or stand for extended periods
- Lift up to 25 pounds
- Climb ladders, scaffolds, and stairs
- Work in outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, precipitation, and wind
- Exposure to construction environments, including confined spaces and elevated noise levels
- Use required safety equipment and PPE
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and meet insurability requirements
Travel
This position requires travel to job sites.
