Essential Functions
- Compliance & Record Keeping:
- Regulatory Compliance: Assist, plan, and implement policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
- Documentation: Maintain regulatory record-keeping, including the OSHA 300 Log, safety training records, KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and team action plans.
- Training & Floor Support:
- Safety Culture: Work with all levels of staff to ensure the health and safety program and policies are thoroughly understood and upheld as a priority and core value.
- Employee Training: Train all employees, supervisors, and management in the proper use of PPE, safety & health practices, and accident prevention/investigation.
- Floor Presence: Assist line management by spending appropriate time on the production floor to observe the workforce for safe behaviors and immediately correct any deficiencies.
- Certifications: Conduct employee safety certifications and renewals.
- Injury & Incident Management:
- Worker's Compensation: Timely report all work-related injuries or illnesses to the company's worker's compensation insurance administrator and provide follow-up information as necessary.
- Medical Coordination: Work closely with local medical provider(s) to coordinate emergency services and follow-up care for injured or ill employees.

- Organization: Excellent organizational skills and the proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
- Problem-Solving: Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Technical Skills: Excellent computer skills.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) and at least 3 years of related experience.
- Strong working knowledge of, or direct experience with, OSHA regulations.
Work Environment
- Schedule: Generally 8-hour days, 5 days a week.
- Setting: A combination of a climate-controlled indoor office environment and a non-controlled manufacturing plant floor.
- Plant Conditions: Manufacturing environment featuring extreme fluctuations in temperature, as well as dusty and noisy conditions.
