About the role

The Safety Shower Maintenance Technician position requires a high percentage of maintenance time testing, cleaning, and maintaining safety showers and eyewash stations. The work is performed both inside and outside the facility, in critical environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance on facility equipment with a professional and safe approach.
  • Provide professional feedback to update preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain tools and order supplies as required for installation and repairs.
  • Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of chemicals.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks and complete documentation in a timely manner.
  • Actively participate in emergency response procedures, technical, and safety training programs.

Requirements

  • Team player, hard worker, good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports.
  • Prior knowledge of working within a cleanroom environment is a plus.
  • Skilled and physically able to operate hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift and carry loads, and operate required equipment.
  • Able to work in close places such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults, etc., and on roofs of buildings.
  • Completion of written documentation is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or state equivalent required.
  • Prior experience maintaining a high tech or cleanroom environment is highly desirable.
  • Good interpersonal and a positive team attitude.
  • Familiarity with computers and operations and office automation applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid Oregon or other driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Skills

Pay

$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
