About the role

The Safety Senior Specialist applies scientific and practical safety expertise to design, improve, and implement systems, processes, and tools that enhance safety characteristics in alignment with operations, new models, and innovation goals. They lead safety projects, conduct risk assessments, ergonomic studies, and analyze safety data to promote safety excellence. The role involves supporting plant teams, interpreting safety policies, and fostering a safety culture through proactive PDCA cycles and safety advocacy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Health Sciences, or related field
• 2+ years safety experience or equivalent manufacturing background
• Professional certifications like Safety Professional or related are preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, data analysis, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of safety regulations, injury prevention strategies, and root cause analysis
• Ability to work in manufacturing and office environments, with flexibility for overtime and travel
