Legacy Health is recruiting a Safety Security Officer II at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. Requisition 26-49254.
Responsibilities
- Protect patients, visitors, staff and property while providing courteous assistance and documenting incidents.
Qualifications
- High-school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of relevant security, corrections, military, first‑responder or behavioral‑health/ER experience, or one year as a Legacy Associate Officer.
- Two years of public‑contact/customer‑service experience.
- Qualifying driver’s license.
- AHA Healthcare Provider BLS and DPSST temporary or full unarmed certification required within 14 days.
- Full DPSST certification and Legacy de‑escalation training required within 120 days.
- Legacy physical‑control training required.
Pay
- Base pay: $24.60–35.17 per hour (non‑union).
- Advertised shift differentials: evenings $2.50, nights $4.30, weekends $3.00 per hour.
- 10% on‑call differential applies; minimum shift availability required.
- Confirm eligibility with Legacy.
Schedule
- On‑call position with variable schedule including weekends and holidays.
- 12‑hour shifts.
