Safety & Security Officer - Full Time (3rd Shift)

About the role

The Safety & Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for Q Center guests and associates. This position will patrol the property, monitor surveillance equipment, perform building inspections, verify guests and visitors at the Welcome Point and staff the Command Center. The Safety & Security Officer remains alert to emergency situations and provides first-line response, emergency management, and/or escalation if required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency situations
• Perform all required tasks of Patrol Officer, Welcome Point, and Command Center
• Adhere to safety and security procedures
• Rekey meeting room locks
• Watch for and report irregularities, such as facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations
• Respond to incidents and situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
• Assist with emergency response activities
• Maintain security controls for issued keys/radios
• Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly
• Complete any necessary documentation as required
• Escalate emergency situations as needed
• Monitor security technology systems
• Be familiar with evacuation, shelter-in-place, and relocation procedures

Requirements

• High School diploma preferred
• Previous security work experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Certified in CPR/AED/First-Aid or the ability to be certified

Physical Requirements

Flexible and long hours sometimes required. Medium work - exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently. Comfortable walking for extended periods of time. Ability to stand during entire shift. Ability to respond to life safety emergencies within three minutes.

Pay and Schedule

Starting rate for this position is $19.00/hour. The schedule for this position is 10:45pm - 7:15am, with varying days of the week.
