About the role
As a Safety & Security Officer at Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW), you will assist in providing our Owners and guests with experiences and events to make memorable vacation memories in a supportive, friendly, and beautiful work environment.
Responsibilities
- Patrol all areas of the property by foot or vehicle using specified equipment (e.g., flashlight, high visibility jacket).
- Administer first aid/CPR to Owners, guests, or associates as required.
- Ensure Owner/guest and meeting rooms are secure and assist guests with room access.
- Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions (CCTV), perimeter alarm systems, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems.
- Respond to the scene of Owner/guest or associate accidents and determine if emergency aid is required.
- Defuse Owner/guest or associate disturbances/altercations following company policies and procedures.
- Handle lost and found items, logging and returning them as needed.
- Utilize computer systems, prepare and review written documents accurately and completely, and answer phones using proper telephone etiquette.
- Oversee OSHA and fire life safety (FLS) violations to mitigate risks throughout the property.
- Welcome and greet guests, anticipate and address their needs, and interact professionally with colleagues and guests.
- Contribute to team goals while following company policies and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days.
- Able to reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
- Able to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance.
- Valid driver’s license with at least one year of clean driving history (may be required).
- Valid Hawaii State Guard Card.
- Position may require background and drug screening contingent on company policy in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
