Safety Security Associate Officer — On-Call – Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center – Tualatin, Oregon

Hospital: Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center
Location: Tualatin, Oregon
Base pay: $20.24–$28.93 per hour
Schedule: On-call; no guaranteed weekly hours; variable 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays. Minimum availability required.
Union status: Non-union, as stated by Legacy
Role / licensing: Unarmed DPSST certification required.

What you'll do

• Help protect patients, employees, visitors and hospital property.
• Provide directions and courteous assistance, monitor assigned areas and document incidents.
• Staff observation or security-desk assignments and support enhanced screening with metal detectors and X-ray equipment when assigned.
• This associate role does not include making arrests or restraining patients.

Qualifications And Licensing

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• American Heart Association healthcare-provider BLS within 14 days of placement.
• DPSST unarmed temporary or full certification within 14 days; full certification within 120 days.
• Complete employer de-escalation training within 120 days; communicate clearly and write accurate reports.
• Related security or emergency-response experience and customer-service experience are preferred.
• A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are preferred.

Pay and benefits

• Listed differentials: evenings $2.50/hour, nights $4.30/hour and weekends $3/hour.
