Safety, Security and Treatment Technician

Job Duties

• Monitor the day-to-day activities of a therapeutic community.
• Support behavioral interventions to promote therapeutic progress.
• Affirm unit rules, policies, and procedures.
• Perform room inspections and document resident behaviors.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to operate automated systems and personal computers.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
• Interpret and apply basic policies and procedures.
• Work independently, prioritize tasks, organize work, and manage multiple projects.
• Attention to detail, strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Working knowledge of physical control methods, first aid, radio communications, and rules/regulations.
• Successfully complete certifications and orientation.
• Drive a 15-passenger security van as directed by supervisor.

Additional Considerations

• An associate degree in Human Service is preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with behavioral disorders and/or forensic environments is preferred.
