Role Overview
The Safety Professional oversees Construction Project Safety, Health (S&H), and Risk Management, developing and implementing site-specific safety plans and leading operational risk initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with contractors and owners on site conditions and non-compliance notices
- Participate in meetings to advise on mitigation plans and training
- Develop Accident Prevention Programs
- Manage safety budgets and permits
- Lead incident investigations
Knowledge & Skills
- Extensive understanding of safety and health standards (OSHA, DOT)
- Accident investigation expertise
- Safety management systems knowledge (ANSI-Z10, OHSAS 18001, ISO 31000)
- Proficiency in MS Office and SharePoint
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6+ years experience with a high school diploma; additional education preferred
- Experience in electrical, construction, industrial, federal, or commercial safety required
- Certifications such as OSHA 500/502 and pursuit of CSP, ASP, or CHST desirable
