Responsibilities
- Teach all aspects of occupational health and safety and its application in the workplace.
- Teach safety standards and the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), its rules and regulations (OSHA 10).
- This course will have two sections meeting on Thursday mornings during the fall semester.
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
- May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
Requirements
- Five years of general industry safety experience.
- A college degree in occupational safety and health, a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation may be substituted for two years of experience.
- Candidates with OSHA Trainer certification. (OSHA 500) will also be considered.
KSA's/Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills.
