Duties and Responsibilities
- Cook up and execute work area assessments, surveys, and program evaluations to identify hazardous conditions like noise exposure, chemical exposure, indoor air quality, light levels, confined spaces, and ventilation in paint booths.
- Analyze identified hazards and assign risk assessment codes to help departments prioritize and budget for corrective actions.
- Operate and oversee the company's environmental management system, which involves managing the waste management contract and coordinating hazardous and universal waste management activities.
- Collect, analyze, and preserve data necessary for efficient safety and environmental programs.
- Evaluate hazardous conditions and suggest engineering controls, administrative controls, and/or personal protective equipment.
- Provide statistical and financial data on workers' compensation injuries. Maintain detailed and accurate records as required. Prepare various reports, including charts and graphs, to detect trends and needs.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assist managers and supervisors in ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering field, Registered Nurse, or related field
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience
- Accredited practitioner from the Department of Labor and Employment and Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) / Mines and Geoscience Bureau (MGB)
