About the role
The Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring a safe work environment for all employees at Hopewell, VA.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits
- Train employees on safety protocols
- Respond to and investigate workplace accidents and incidents
- Coordinate with external agencies and contractors regarding safety compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety management role
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with safety software and databases
