Manager of Maintenance & Reliability

About the role

The Manager of Maintenance & Reliability will oversee a skilled team of technicians and ensure the uninterrupted operation of DigiKey's advanced automation systems in the Product Distribution Center.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to maximize equipment availability and lifespan.
• Lead a team of technicians, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Apply reliability-centered maintenance practices, including PMO, FMEA, and RCA, to enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Collaborate with vendors and internal engineering teams to optimize system performance.
• Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and deliver actionable insights to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.
• 5+ years in maintenance or reliability roles, with at least 2 years in leadership.
• Strong knowledge of industrial automated systems and maintenance best practices.
• CMRP or ASQ CRE certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of successful project management and leadership.
• Experience with predictive maintenance and root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
