About the role
The Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and guidelines in heavy civil construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety programs and policies
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits
- Train employees on safety procedures and best practices
- Coordinate emergency response plans and drills
- Investigate accidents and incidents to prevent future occurrences
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management in heavy civil construction
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and other relevant regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
