Safety Manager / Construction (HSE) Health, Safety and Environmental Manager
About the role
You will provide HSE Orientation and onboarding training to Contractors in English and Spanish, perform daily safety inspections at the construction site, and monitor contractor activities and personnel to identify safe and unsafe behaviors and conditions. You will bring issues to the notice of the contractor and the site manager and follow up to ensure gaps are closed on priority. Site Safety Inspection includes but is not limited to elevated work areas, scaffolds, ladders, gas bottles, welding equipment, electrical cords, power & hand tools, safety harness and other PPE. You must also participate in morning tool box meetings.
What makes you great
- Relevant Certification or Diploma in a Construction HSE related subject
- OSHA 30 (Construction) certification
- CHST or CHSM or equivalent are preferred
- Excellent Training Skills, ability to engage participants in interactive training
- Good communication skill required in both English and Spanish
- Willingness and ability to work in the field at least 70% of the time
- Positive attitude and team work capabilities
- At least 10 years of construction site experience in an HSE Technician or Supervisor Role
