About the role
As a Safety Manager, you will be responsible for safety inspections, project planning, employee training, and other safety and health services.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite safety support to key clients and projects. Partner with project teams to prepare and execute effective site safety plans.
- Ensure regular inspections are completed at job sites as well as on machinery and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards.
- Conduct training sessions, monitor compliance, investigate incidents, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Communicate guidelines to employees, report on health and safety issues, and, in partnership with others, develop relevant policies to maintain a safe workplace.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in occupational safety/health or related industry experience and 5+ years of safety management experience.
- OSHA 500 training certification preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Understanding of safety in a construction environment.
- Strong work ethic and team building skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience delivering presentations and conducting training sessions for diverse audiences.
- Working knowledge of MS Office suite and other industry related programs.
