What You’ll Do
- Lead the continuous improvement of the company's safety programs, policies, and practices across all locations.
- Travel extensively to branches and field operations to assess safety performance, identify risks, and drive improvement initiatives.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
- Partner with operational leaders to strengthen safety accountability and integrate best practices into daily operations.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and deliver safety training, both in the field and at Phoenix Academy, that increases employee engagement and reinforces a strong safety culture.
- Monitor safety metrics and trends, providing recommendations that reduce risk and improve performance.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on safety-related matters and operational risk management.
- Champion a proactive safety culture focused on prevention, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring
- Demonstrated leadership experience in safety, operations, compliance, risk management, or related functions within field, branch, warehouse, transportation, manufacturing, construction, service, or other multi-site environments.
- Proven ability to improve performance, reduce risk, drive continuous improvement, and influence positive cultural change through effective coaching, communication, and relationship-building.
- Working knowledge of safety regulations, compliance requirements, audits, inspections, investigations, and corrective action processes, with the ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data, trends, and performance metrics to identify opportunities and drive business and safety outcomes.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively (60–80%) to support field operations and organizational objectives.
