About the Role
As a Safety Investigations Analyst in the Safety Office, you will assist with data trend analysis and vehicle safety investigations. You will review Technical Service Bulletins (TSB), Special Service Messages (SSM), and Over the Air (OTA) update documentation, facilitating reviews and process development.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze daily reports from customers and dealers to identify potential safety concerns.
- Prepare technical and non-technical documentation.
- Support the ASO in responding to government inquiries with data and technical analysis.
- Interface with Global Data Insight & Analytics (GDI&A) for failure rate projections and investigation support.
- Review TSBs, SSMs, and OTAs and facilitate ASO reviews.
- Facilitate reviews, development, and documentation of processes, procedures, and training.
- Perform daily monitoring of incoming reports, data analysis, and documentation preparation for regulatory submission using the Global Recall Implementation Database (GRID).
- Collaborate with Product Development, Quality, Customer Service, and Manufacturing teams.
- Deliver reports and metrics on safety data trends and ASO key priority indicators.
- Document investigation findings, regulatory submissions, and maintain records in compliance with retention guidelines.
- Conduct regular project assessments, gap analyses, and feedback sessions.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or relevant data analytics experience preferred.
- Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and organizational skills, including advanced Excel proficiency.
- Experience with quality or warranty data analysis is preferred.
- Working knowledge of vehicle systems.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Procedure development and implementation skills are a plus.
- Experience with product development or manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interface effectively with diverse, cross-functional organizations and global teams.
- Excellent oral communication and strong technical writing skills.
