Responsibilities

• Assists the Safety Manager in facilitating an injury and incident-free workplace by evaluating, monitoring, accounting for, and assisting with all aspects of occupational safety programs and site safety.
• Conduct periodic inspections of facilities and vehicles for safety compliance.
• Conduct job site safety inspections.
• Conduct worksite risk assessments, identifying and controlling potential hazards.
• Investigate safety incidents as they arise.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, IMSHA, EM-385.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Self-starter, able to work independently.
• 4+ years of relevant experience and/or training.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Practical knowledge of fire protection codes and standards.
• Ability to interact well with all levels of individuals, internally and externally.
• Ability to handle change, resolve conflict, and solve problems as they arise with minimal direction.
• Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office Professional programs and applicable database programs.
• Able to work in extremely hot and extremely cold temperatures.
• Able to work while exposed to loud sounds and noise levels.
• OSHA 510 or 511 required.
