Safety Coordinator Overnight Shift
Full-time overnight shift: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM. Must be available weekends.
Pay
$26.30 - $27.30 per hour.

About the role
The Safety Coordinator (NOC Shift) functions as a Safety Officer with leadership responsibilities including disaster training, coordination, and initial on-site response for any emergency or disaster situation. The role also provides support, communication, and general oversight of staff for normal community functions during the overnight shift at the request and direction of community leadership.
La Costa Glen is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) offering villas and apartment homes with full services such as restaurant dining, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, transportation, fitness classes, wellness programs, and numerous activities.
Responsibilities
- Follow safety procedures and duties assigned by a supervisor
- Provide leadership in disaster training, coordination, and emergency response
- Serve as initial on-site responder for emergencies or disaster situations
- Support, communicate, and oversee staff during overnight community functions
Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of safety/security, emergency response, and disaster operations
- Minimum 2 years leadership experience within medical response, security, or a closely related field
- Current EMT Certification
- Current CPR/AED certificate
- Current American Heart Association BLS Instructor certificate (highly desirable)
- 2+ years’ supervisory experience (highly desirable)
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
