Safety Coordinator

About the role

The Safety Coordinator plays a critical role in Morris Packaging's commitment to safety. This position oversees the implementation and maintenance of a robust safety culture, ensuring the well-being of all employees.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the development and execution of the Morris Packaging Safety Program.
• Ensure the safety of all Morris Packaging employees through regular inspections and corrective actions.
• Conduct near-miss investigations and lead the safety committee.
• Assist with the safety orientation and training of new employees.
• Perform safety audits of the facility and participate in various safety meetings.
• Lead the medical management program and troubleshoot safety issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of safety experience in manufacturing or construction.
• Forklift certification (provided by the company).
• Basic math skills, good communication abilities, and basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to identify risks and perform general physical activities.
• Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records.
• Experience with safety protocols and procedures.
