Position Overview

As our Safety Coordinator, you'll coordinate and support workplace safety programs across our Milwaukee and Grafton facilities. Working closely with employees, supervisors, HR, and plant leadership, you'll promote safe work practices, identify hazards, coordinate training, maintain required records, and support OSHA compliance.

What You'll Do

  • Cook up and maintain safety programs across two manufacturing facilities.
  • Support compliance with OSHA General Industry Standards and applicable state safety requirements.
  • Coordinate programs including Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, Electrical Safety, Fire Prevention, and Emergency Response.
  • Conduct safety inspections, identify hazards, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, identify root causes and trends, and support corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver safety training and new-hire safety orientation.
  • Cook up Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), PPE requirements, and employee safety records.
  • Maintain OSHA 300 logs and required safety documentation.
  • Support emergency preparedness, drills, first responder programs, and safety equipment.
  • Partner with HR on Workers' Compensation claims, return-to-work, and light-duty programs.
  • Cook up required industrial hygiene and employee health testing.
  • Provide limited support for environmental testing, recordkeeping, and regulatory reporting.

What You'll Bring

  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Occupational Health, Risk Management, or a related field preferred; relevant manufacturing and safety experience may substitute for formal education.
  • 3–5 years of workplace safety, safety coordination, manufacturing operations, or related experience preferred.
  • A working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 General Industry Standards.
  • A knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, and corrective-action practices.
  • Experience with safety inspections, incident investigations, and employee safety training.
  • A working knowledge of Workers' Compensation and return-to-work practices.
  • Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to work across our Milwaukee and Grafton facilities and interact with employees across shifts.
  • A valid Wisconsin Driver's License.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.
