About the role
Jet Midwest is a full-service commercial aviation company, specializing in the sale and lease of commercial aircraft, engines, and parts as well as aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul services to the aviation industry.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the JMI Safety Program
- Develop and maintain the Safety Management System (SMS)
- Create and deliver employee safety training (initial, annual, refresher, specialized)
- Track training system compliance
- Monitor and track safety incidents and injuries
- Conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Implement preventative safety measures
- Provide employee coaching on safety practices
- Develop and enforce safety policies
- Perform routine safety audits and inspections
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Self-motivated and takes initiative
- Strong multitasking abilities
- Cal OSHA experience is a plus
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Ability to walk, kneel, and climb ladders
- Ability to carry up to 50 lbs
