Safety Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Act as owner’s representative for construction projects.
• Manage and supervise the health and safety program for the construction management team, as well as the Trade Contractors’ health and safety officers.
• Work with Corporate HSSE team to implement a site-specific health and safety manual that includes project policies and work procedures.
• Maintain safety records and statistics; analyze results to continuously improve the safety program through hazard mitigation and accident avoidance.
• Conduct safety training and orientation.
• Investigate all incidents.
• Ensure Trade Contractors adhere to site-specific safety procedures, including the wearing of proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Monitor and participate in joint safety meetings.
• Participate in medical monitoring processes.
• Manage HSE-related licenses, permits, and authorizations required for onsite construction operations.
• Be available to respond to incidents during off-hours on a rotational basis.
• Perform additional assignments and duties as deemed necessary by the Supervisor.
