About the role
E2 Optics is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support the execution, compliance, and enhancement of internal and external safety programs. This role drives a behavior-based safety culture to prevent accidents and mitigate losses at E2 Optics customer locations. As a key member of the team, you will provide safety and health training, assist in incident investigations, conduct audits, and track safety issues.
Responsibilities
- Supports execution, compliance, and enhancement of internal and external safety programs
- Drive behavior-based safety culture to achieve accident-prevention and loss mitigation
- Provides safety and health training, instruction, and coaching to ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Assists the Safety Manager with incident/accident investigations, subsequent documentation, problem solving, and implementation of countermeasures
- Conducts and/or participates in Safety audits to review practices and records for compliance with relevant H&S programs and OSHA regulations
- Tracks, trends, and drives structured problem solving for recurring safety issues that impact performance targets
- Minimal overnight travel (5%) required
Requirements
- High school diploma required, Associate’s Degree preferred
- 2-3 years Occupational Health and/or Safety experience in a construction environment
- OSHA 30 certification
- Ability to positively influence and encourage others
- High attention to detail
- Willingness to work days, nights, and weekends as needed
- Self-motivated and excellent work ethics
