Safety Coordinator

About the role

E2 Optics is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support the execution, compliance, and enhancement of internal and external safety programs. This role drives a behavior-based safety culture to prevent accidents and mitigate losses at E2 Optics customer locations. As a key member of the team, you will provide safety and health training, assist in incident investigations, conduct audits, and track safety issues.

Responsibilities

• Supports execution, compliance, and enhancement of internal and external safety programs
• Drive behavior-based safety culture to achieve accident-prevention and loss mitigation
• Provides safety and health training, instruction, and coaching to ensure compliance with applicable regulations
• Assists the Safety Manager with incident/accident investigations, subsequent documentation, problem solving, and implementation of countermeasures
• Conducts and/or participates in Safety audits to review practices and records for compliance with relevant H&S programs and OSHA regulations
• Tracks, trends, and drives structured problem solving for recurring safety issues that impact performance targets
• Minimal overnight travel (5%) required

Requirements

• High school diploma required, Associate’s Degree preferred
• 2-3 years Occupational Health and/or Safety experience in a construction environment
• OSHA 30 certification
• Ability to positively influence and encourage others
• High attention to detail
• Willingness to work days, nights, and weekends as needed
• Self-motivated and excellent work ethics
