What You’ll Do
Training & Documentation
- Maintain employee safety and EHS training records in applicable systems, including Bonnell University as it becomes the system of record for job-related training documentation.
- Upload, log, and track completion of required training records for employees and departments.
- Generate monthly and ad hoc training completion reports for EHS, HR, and leadership review.
- Maintain records for EHS-required training, Toolbox Talks, One-Point Lessons, Safety Stand Downs, Leadership in Action, Risk Elimination, Waste Stoppers, and Peer Check and Feedback participation.
- Ensure records are accurate, complete, organized, and audit-ready.
Safety Reporting & Metrics
- Maintain daily EHS internal reporting and update safety metrics as directed.
- Track and report Leadership in Action activities, Risk Eliminations submitted, Peer Check and Feedback checklists, First Aids, Near Misses, equipment/property damage, and environmental spills or releases.
- Compile safety data and reporting trends to support EHS leadership and facility safety initiatives.
- Assist with the preparation of reports that support OSHA compliance and applicable EHS standards.
Safety Program Administration
- Coordinate EHS calendar activities as directed, including Toolbox Talks, Safety Newsletter/Bonnell Lines content, CTV messaging, and Safety Action Team meeting schedules and minutes.
- Support safety campaigns, employee engagement activities, and communication related to EHS initiatives.
- Assist Safety and Environmental leadership with special projects, follow-up items, and department administrative needs.
Supplies, Inventory & Vendor Coordination
- Track and order EHS supplies as directed, including PPE vending machine items, new hire orientation supplies, lockout/tagout equipment, heat stress prevention materials, permits, forms, licenses, signs, and related materials.
- Coordinate with safety shoe vendors and other safety-related vendors as needed.
- Support coordination of safety-related programs and activities such as blood donations, as assigned.
Permits, Forms & Compliance Records
- Maintain and organize permits, forms, and compliance documentation for EHS programs.
- Track documentation for mobile equipment inspections, crane/hoist/lifting device inspections, confined space entry permits, lock removal authorizations, hot work permits, risk elimination forms, Leadership in Action forms, Peer Check and Feedback forms, and licenses/certifications.
- Assist with internal audits, compliance checks, and document readiness for regulatory or company reviews.
What We’re Looking For
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in Occupational Safety, Business Administration, Human Resources, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
- Two or more years of administrative, safety, HR, manufacturing, or compliance-related experience preferred.
- Experience maintaining records, databases, reports, and compliance documentation preferred.
- Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through on assigned tasks.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with Safety, Environmental, HR, Operations, and other departments.
- Safety-minded approach with a strong commitment to supporting a positive safety culture.
Work Environment
- Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and computer use.
- Regular plant-floor exposure requiring appropriate PPE.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to follow all facility safety policies and procedures.
Additional Information
- The Safety Manager provides primary direction. The Environmental Manager may provide direction as needed for environmental reporting, documentation, or program support.
- Duties may be adjusted based on business needs and the continued development of EHS systems and processes.
