Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Aid employers in developing and implementing workplace safety and health programs.
- Train employers and/or employees on loss control and OSHA standards compliance.
- Conduct and participate in meetings and seminars to disseminate safety information.
- Inspect worksites and assesses for potential hazards; prepare reports and recommend solutions.
- Maintain certifications such as DDC, FA/CPR, OSHA, or other relevant safety instructor authorizations.
- Attend regularly and predictably.
- Comply with National Safety Council, Nebraska policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience: Bachelors Degree within Business/Industrial/Occupational Safety and Health or two years closely related experience; working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
- Communication: Articulate, excellent oral and written skills; effective in English; ability to communicate effectively.
- Organization: Well-organized, prioritizes and completes tasks efficiently.
- Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 40lbs., sit or stand for long periods, and demonstrate physical aspects of training.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift and carry class demonstration and presentation materials up to 40lbs.
- Able to sit or stand for long periods.
- Able to physically demonstrate all aspects of training in First Aid, CPR, and AED classes.
Equipment Utilization
- Telephone, computer, fax machine.
Description of Working Conditions
- Fast-paced office environment with frequent interruptions.
- Off-site training locations will vary.
