Safety Consultant - Construction

About the role

This role is part of a job family (Associate Safety Consultant - Construction, Safety Consultant - Construction, Sr Safety Consultant - Construction) and requires at least 3 to 5 years of experience providing safety services to large construction projects. Utility experience is desired.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct Safety Initiatives
• Collaborate with Senior/Principal Consultants
• Develop and deliver programs, policies, and procedures
• Audit, inquire, observe, and network to ensure contractor safety
• Provide safety equipment consultation and information
• Review contractor accident investigations and make recommendations
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with employees, contractors, and project leaders
• Serve on local safety committees
• Support diversity by actively seeking out and encouraging diversity in perspective and by establishing an environment of inclusion

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or closely related discipline
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience providing safety services to large construction projects
• Utility experience desired
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite
• Uses appropriate interpersonal skills and communication methods to build constructive relationships
• Leadership competencies including making difficult decisions, relationship-building, influencing, fostering teamwork, and knowledge of the business
