Safety Compliance Assistant

Pay

$16-$22 per hour based on experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize safety documents, records, and databases.
• Prepare and distribute safety reports.
• Following distance alerts
• Harsh braking alerts
• HOS violations
• Personal Conveyance use
• Afford assistance in monitoring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Help track and document safety incidents and corrective actions.
• Support audits and inspections by preparing the necessary documentation.
• Observe drivers in the process of delivering fuel.
• Identify drivers who are not following TTE processes while delivering fuel and communicate to the Operation Managers, Directors and Vice Presidents.
• Distribute safety alerts and updates throughout the organization.
• Proficient in writing emails to describe Safety observations.
• Perform general office duties such as answering phones, responding to emails, and performing other administrative tasks.
• Order and maintain safety supplies and equipment inventory.
• Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• An attention to detail and a proactive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations (DOT, OSHA, etc.).
• Familiarity with incident reporting systems or safety software.
• Previous administrative experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed while sitting at a desk and working on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Must be able to lift fifteen pounds at a time.
