Safety Companion

Overview

The Safety Companion provides continuous, attentive observation of assigned patients to maintain their safety. This role performs light patient care tasks, which may include repositioning, ambulation assistance, bathing, feeding, and other activities of daily living. The Safety Companion documents relevant information in the patient record and communicates effectively with the care team to promote seamless, high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provides continuous, attentive observation of assigned patients to maintain their safety.
• Performs light patient care tasks such as repositioning, ambulation assistance, bathing, feeding, and other activities of daily living.
• Documents relevant information in the patient record.
• Communicates effectively with the care team to promote seamless, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Licensure/ Certification: CPR - BLS (within 90 days of onboarding)
• Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
• Education: High School Diploma/ GED
• Experience: 1 year work experience in a service industry

Pay

Expected pay for this position is $17.66 - $19.63/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
