About the role

The Assistant Manager, Safety leads a team of safety professionals to innovate, design, and enhance safety systems, processes, and equipment in alignment with operational goals. They oversee safety initiatives, manage daily team activities, and promote continuous safety improvements through risk assessments, ergonomic studies, and data analysis. The role requires interpreting safety policies, ensuring compliance, and reporting safety performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety improvement projects and safety themes within the plant.
• Manage and mentor safety team members, fostering their technical and professional growth.
• Proactively reduce hazards by applying PDCA cycles and safety expertise.
• Perform complex safety assessments and document activities, including risk evaluations and ergonomic studies.
• Present safety data and results, utilizing advanced analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field.
• 8+ years of safety or manufacturing experience.
• Professional safety certifications such as CSP or OSHA-related credentials.
