Safety and Security Team

About the role

Serving on the safety and security team is rotational and generally requires serving both services once or twice a month with the opportunity to attend one service on Sundays in the worship center during shift. In addition to Sundays, opportunities to serve in this area are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and during special events.

Typical tasks include hospitality and greeting while maintaining awareness and performing routine checks that doors are secured. The team also assists with ad hoc tasks such as mopping spilled coffee, changing a tire, or ministering to someone in need.

Carrying a firearm is not required but may be permitted with confirmation of training by the security team lead and an active concealed carry permit.

Requirements

• Standard background check
• 6 months regular attendance
• Physically fit to assist in emergencies
• Basic knowledge of safety and security tasks, including walkie/radio use and hospitality needs such as changing a tire if needed
• Basic first aid and CPR knowledge
