Safety and Security Monitor

Responsibilities

• Maintains daily logs.
• Maintains knowledge of all facility rules, regulations, and policies.
• Conducts safety and security rounds throughout the building.
• Conducts room inspections and completes report of findings daily.
• Conducts property and personal items searches and chain of custody.
• Supports Nursing with visual searches upon admission.
• Conducts patient room searches on a rotating schedule and as needed.
• Provides crisis management and patient de-escalation to support clinical staff.
• Supports Counselor Techs with transfers as needed.
• Monitors medication and MAT lines to prevent medication diversion.
• K-9 walk-throughs on a rotating schedule in coordination with Regional Director of Security.
• Supports the program as needed.
• Attends mandatory GRC trainings and in-services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Chemical dependency treatment experience preferred.
• Passes PA Criminal Background Check.
• Obtains PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances.
• Passes Drug Screen.
• Completes 2-Step TB Test.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Good communications skills.
• Good de-escalation skills.
• Knowledge of 12 step programs.
